I have a C240 and I used the Cisco UCS Server Configuration Utility to create a RAID 1, now I'm trying to create a new partition, but when I choose a free space, the button NEW remains disabled.
I'm beginner in the UCS world, so if someone can help me, I appreciate.
Thanks.

HI Erick,
What kind of raid controller do you have installed on this server. If you have an LSI controller, I recommend that you try configuring the raid volume using the WebBiosUility. Below is a link to a document that can walk you through the configuration steps of this controller via this utility.

I just need to create 3 partitions inside the drivers used to configure the RAID 1, can I create without using Cisco UCS Server Configuration Utility?
"I just need to create 3 partitions inside the drivers used to configure the RAID 1"
Are you talking about the partitions in the flex flash drive?
what do you mean by inside the drivers?

HI Erick,
This is not possible. You cannot create a virtual drive within a virtual drive.

Hello Erick,
Once you created RAID 1 out of two 300 GB hard drives, it will appear as single hard disk of 300 GB to Operating system.
While installing Windows, you can create required additional partitions. In your scenario, C,D and E of each 100 GB.
