c-200m1 doesn't allow ip management after KVM session

Hello,

Our customer is having following issue: he connects locally to the KVM of a c-200m1 through the serial/vga ports, and right afterwards he can't access remotely to the CIMC via IP, unless he reboots the server. Is that a common behavior of these servers?? (I don't think so...)

What exactly happens when they try to access CIMC via web browser ?

Hello Dani,

Can you please share CIMC version ?

What exactly happens when you login to CIMC and click on KVM console ?

Padma

CIMC version is 1.4(2).

Problem is customer can ping the CIMC but cannot access it via web

Hello Dani,

Is TCP & port 80 / 443 traffic allowed between client and server ?

SSH into CIMC and share the output of following commands

show kvm

show http

Padma

Ports are allowed...in fact, if customer reboots the server, he can then access CIMC and KVM successfully

Here you have the show outputs:

GCSAVMS08#

GCSAVMS08# show kvm

Encryption Enabled Local Video      Active Sessions Enabled KVM Port

------------------ ---------------- --------------- ------- --------

no                 yes              0               yes     2068

GCSAVMS08# show http

HTTP Port  HTTPS Port Timeout  Active Sessions Enabled HTTP Redirected

---------- ---------- -------- --------------- ------- ----------------

80         443        1800     0               yes     yes

GCSAVMS08#

Padma, customer is telling me he prefers not to reproduce the error again because he prefers having this minor error rather than potentially causing a bigger one when trying to reproduce the minor one.

So we'll leave it like this. Thanks for your help anyway
