Hello everyone. I recently updated all the firmware on one of my C210 M2 rack servers via Cisco's Host Update Utility (HUU). However, after doing so, I noticed the firmware on the RAID controller, an LSI 9261-8i running version 12.12.0-0149, hadn't been touched. Seeing as how the current version from Broadcom is 12.15.0-0239, should I update it?
Also, are there any other firmware packages not updated by the HUU that should be updated manually?
Many thanks!

You will want to use the HUUs for updating firmware.
Cisco does not recommend using the firmware directly from the end MFG.
Sometimes the firmware supplied in HUU will have specific enhancements made to it that accommodate the UCS environment & CIMC integration.

You generally do not want to update items such as the raid controller, to a firmware not matched with the rest of the servers firmware contained in the HUU.
Does your raid controller's firmware not match the version that the HUU release notes show?
Check HUU component versions at : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/release/notes/Release_Notes_for_Cisco_UCS_C-Series_SW_1_4_3y.html#pgfId-400509

Thank you for replying, Kirk.
To answer your question, no, the latest firmware for my 9261-8i RAID controller does not match the version included in the latest HUU for a C210 M2, which is version 2.130.363-2183.
According to the links below, the latest version is 2.130.403-4660.
