C220M3 failed drive alarm via CIMC

Can I use the CIMC to tell the LSI MegaRAID SAS 9271-8i controller to stop beeping for X hours?  Rebooting and pressing Control H to use the WebRaid GUI is not an option.

The failed drive alarm is annoying those in the hallway outside the server room.....

Hi Jason,

i don't think you can disable the sound from the CIMC, but you can disable the alarm by loading the MegaCLI to run the command to disable the alarm.  The MegaCLI is an application the runs on top of the OS, it is a utility.

In the link below you can download the tool if you go to software downloads and expand the management software tools

http://www.lsi.com/products/raid-controllers/pages/megaraid-sas-9271-8i.aspx#tab/tab4

The link below has some commands including the silence alarm command that will silence the alarm

Depends on the version of the OS you might need to use the storCLI, if this is the case see the list of commands below
