Can't open UCS Manager

I'm installing a UCS system at our disaster recovery site. I am trying to log into the UCS manager but keep getting this Java error:

The UCS manager is running 2.1(1a). I am running Java 7 Update 21. I tried clearing the temporary internet files in the Java settings, uninstalling and reinstalling Java, removing the certificates from my web browser (Chrome or Firefox both are doing this).

Help!!! I need to be able to get into my UCS manager.

Downgrade lower than Java 1.7 Update 21 - there's a known bug with that version.

Tried that but no luck. Here's the thing though. I have this set up on my production system and it works fine with Java 7 Update 21 (although as was suggested before I changed the path to c:\java\jre7). It was working out at the DR site as well. However I needed to get some screen shots from my production network so I disconnected from the network at the DR site and VPNd into my production network, gathered the required screenshots and then disconnected. Now when I try to connect to UCS manager in either location I get this message. I also just discovered that I can't connect to my ASA asdm pages as well in either location.

Would appear Java hosed something but I can't figure out what.

I had this issue. It was caused by Kaspersky 10.

Try disabling your AV.

I am having the same issue.  I was running Java 7 update 25 and just connected to the UCS Manager for the first time today.  Everything worked fine while I was at the data center, but as soon as I got home and tried to connect through the AnyConnect VPN session it wouldn't launch.  I have tried uninstalling Java 7 and installing Java 6u45 but that didn't seem to help.  I have uninstalled all versions of Java and tried putting Java 7u25 back again.  Neither my UCS manager or ASDM are working now, and the ASDM has been working for the last few days without issue.

If UCSM works within the DC, but on the same workstation/laptop doesn't work while youi're remote connecting through VPN it's likely a firewall or VPN issue.  If things works in the DC its not Java or UCS, but something between your client and UCSM when connecting through the VPN.

Review Cisco Networking for a $25 gift card
