My team is tasked with re-purposing a UCS S3260 chassis with 2 S3260M3 server nodes (UCSC-C3X60-SVRNB). We used the CIMC GUI to factory-reset all components in chassis. We connected a KVM to server 1 to set CIMC IP and password. After setting the new password, we try logging into the GUI over our network, but attempts to login fail every time.
"Login failed. Verify that your username and password are correct."
Why is the password we just set in the CIMC configuration utility not working when attempting to log in from the GUI?
CIMC version is 3.0(4p)

The system definitely has "password" as the default password. Trying to use "Cisco1234" returns the message "Current CIMC password does not match".
After doing a factory-default on the CIMC, we use "password" as the default when setting our new password. It appears to work, but when we try to access the CIMC from a browser, the password we just set in the Configuration Utility (F8 menu) does not work when trying to log in as admin.

For anyone else experiencing this problem: you will need to open a TAC case and have a Cisco technician decrypt the switch from the CIMC's debug shell
