Hi
I'm wondering if I can connect the 2 GB Ethernet ports (LAN1 and LAN2) on my FI and configure them as server port in UCS manager or I have to buy an optional PCIe card?
I'm asking you this because the 4 ports on my Modular LAN-on-motherboard (mLOM) card are used and I need more server ports.
Thanks
Dominic

The older (UCSM 3.1) docs stated explicitly that these "LOM" ports are disabled when integrated into UCS FIs.
The LOM ports on Cisco UCS C-Series Rack-Mount Servers integrated with Cisco UCS Manager can not be used for data traffic.
The LOM ports are disabled when the C-Series Rack-Mount Servers are in Cisco UCS Manager mode.
Typically customer who need extra connectivity purchase a non-Cisco VIC NIC (ex: UCSC-PCIE-ID10GF for 10Gbps SFP+ or UCSC-PCIE-IRJ45 if you need 1Gbps RJ45) and connect those ports to where you need connectivity.
