Cisco UCS 6248 + Cisco Nexus 5548 + EMC VNX 5500 Configuration Help

Hi,

I need help to configure my Cisco UCS 6248 + Cisco Nexus 5548 + EMC VNX 5500, I have a following connectivity in place

FI-6248-A to N5K-A - 4xFCoE

FI-6248-A to N5K-B - 4xFCoE

FI-6248-B to N5K-A - 4xFCoE

FI-6248-B to N5K-B - 4xFCoE

VNX SPA-P1 - N5K-A-1/31 on 8G

VNX SPA-P2 - N5K-2-1/32 on 8G

VNX SPB-P1 - N5K-B-1/31 on 8G

VNX SPB-P2 - N5K-A-1/32 on 8G

What configuration I need to do at 6248 & 5548 Level so I can able to populate LUNs from VNX to my ESXi hosts

Hello Amit,

Is it FCoE end to end or FC between N5K and VNX ?

UCSM 2.1 is required for FCoE uplink from FI.

If it is FCoE towards VNX, configuration would be similar as above. If not, you can refer to following guide for FC interface configuartion.

Following is the answers for the question you asked

Is it FCoE end to end or FC between N5K and VNX ? - FC between N5K and VNX

I am running 2.1(1a) and I have gone thru sample configuration which you have provided

For FC we have made port 29-32 type FC on 5548

I have post one more configuration help question in same fourm
