Cisco UCS and vSphere vDS LACP Teaming for Port Group

Is there any scenario where UCS B-Series will support the use of VMware's vDS Load distribution setting of LACP using DvUplinks to each fabric? I have found no way around the issue of the FI's not being clustered into a single channel for their network link but i have a customer insisting this is now supported with the latest release of UCS and the 13xx VICs.

Good question. No answers.  I assume it is still not supported.

LACP/switch assisted teaming can't function because the FI's don't share a data or control plane for the LACP PBDUs to coordinate over.

If you were talking about a rack server connected to two N5ks with VPC or to multiple ports on same N5k, then the upstream logical switch would be able to handle the LACP configuration, hashing, etc, as those would have a shared control plane.

Hope that helps,

Thanks,

Kirk...
