We have added additional Hard disk to UCS box,to mount the disc to existing data store do we need to restart the UCS box?

The drive bays on front and back are hotplug.

It depends on which controller the bays are connected to.

If its a raid controller, than you can use the CIMC, storage tab to provision the additional drive as JBOD, or add to a raid volume, without needing a reboot.  

Are you attempting to add the new drive as a standalone non-raid volume?

So if I want to add additional disk and create new RAID Group in existing server we can do it without downtime ?
