Can you clarify what you mean by associate service profile template to a 'chassis'?
Server pools are generally the mechanism you can use to determine what kind of blades or rack servers can be used by a service profile being created from a template.
You can manually define a server pool, and designate only blades from a particular chassis, but that would require a chassis to be functional, and the blades healthy and discovered.
