Hi Team,

I have a Cisco UCS FI 6120 XP UCSM is getting disconnected frequently and the error message is " HTTP authentication failed would you like to try and login again, or Exit? gives two option Re-login and Exit. Error screenshot is attached.

What could be the issue?

Regards,

Mahesh

Hello,

I would want to know if the HTTPD service is crashing on the primary FI. Do an SSH session to the primary FI and run these commands:

connect local-mgmt

show pmon state

The output will look similar to this:

If you are having service crashes more information about the environment will be needed. Mainly the firmware revision you are running.

Also, do you have any faults in UCSM showing default keyring expired, etc?

You could also attempt to do an HA failover of the FIs to see if the problem exists on the other FI as well.

connect local-mgmt

cluster lead a or b (which ever is the subordinate FI)

Be aware doing a cluster lead change should not impact the environment under normal circumstances but can be in certain conditions.

Another thing to check would be if you see any errors on the switchports connected to the mgmt interfaces of the FIs, if so you may have a bad switchport or cable.

Hope this helps.

Justin
