I've been trying to upgrade the firmware of this M4 server. from v2 to v4 using the ISO image Cisco Provides. However after an successful upgrade, it hung every-time on the "Configuring System & Memory Testing" post. So I downgraded back to a recovery image located on this forum. C220M4.2.0.8b.0.080620151546
This was successful and now it gets past the "Configuring Memory" POST, but now I can't access any BIOS Menus, can't access any of the menu's using the function keys. The BIOS finishes with "Entering boot selection menu..." "Complete" and sits there doing nothing else.
I have tried the following:
- removing all addon cards, RAID Controllers, mLom's et cetera
- resetting BIOS within CIMC and other BIOS, overrides, reset to manufacturers settings..
- removing the CMOS battery
- boot-Override within CIMC
- power Cycling, Removing power cables
- mounting media via USB, KVM, HTML and Java
- restoring to a recovery bios.
I've run out of idea's. I would like to try re-flashing up to v4 but I don't have the bin file. and the CISCO downloads doesn't give you file and that is also encrypted on the ISO which the password I assume is for Cisco tech's only.
Any help would be nice.
Cheers,
D Fox
