Hi,
I configured 4 vNIC in UCS and I want to make 2 of them with speed 1 Gbps and others with 10 Gbps
How can I do that? could I do that using QoS and How in details ?
when I configure multiple vNICs and vHBAs in CNA, the speed of all of them is shared and up to the CNA speed (such VIC 1380 = 80 Gbps) but I want to use determined BW for some traffic such vMotion and FT in VMware. so I asked the above question
I use UCS 5108
4- B200M4
1 CNA for each blade VIC 1340
2- IOM 2208XP
4- server ports with 4-Twinax (40Gbps)
2 - uplink ports to Core SW 6500
Update 28-6-2015
I tried the following configuration and it worked
1- enable QoS system class with any priority type and with best effort

2- create QoS with the enabled priority in no. 1 and rate 1Gbps (or any speed -BW- you need)

3- create vNIC (or edit you created vNIC or vNIC template) with this QoS

4- you can see the speed of vNIC (vmnic ) in the VMware NetworK adapter tab
