Hi,
Rather than using VMWare Virtual Switch, If I assign virtual NIC from VIC to virtual machine in a vSphere cluster, how vMotion and HA etc work, does the virtual NIC move along with VM? if yes does it require any special configuration?

What you are describing is VM-FEX. https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/sw/vm_fex/vmware/gui/config_guide/b_GUI_VMware_VM-FEX_UCSM_Configuration_Guide/b_GUI_VMware_VM-FEX_UCSM_Configuration_Guide_chapter_01.html
We are seeing support being limited to Linux installations.
See https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/ucs-manager/Reference-Docs/Configuration-Limits/4-1/b_UCS_Configuration_Limits_4_1.html#reference_b2c_5zr_pjb
"Beginning with Cisco UCS Manager Release 4.1(1), VMware VM-FEX and Hyper-V VM-FEX are no longer supported. VM-FEX is supported only with Linux."
