Hello
I need extract (or show) serial number from my ucs 210 m2. I try:
ucs-c210-m2 / scope chassis
ucs-c210-m2 /chassis # show pci-adapter
Name Slot Vendor ID Device ID Product Name
-------------------- ---------- -------------------- -------------------- -------------------------
PCIe Adapter1 1 0x1077 0x2532 Qlogic QLE256x 8 Gbps ...
PCIe Adapter2 3 0x8086 0x10e8 Intel E1G44ET 1 Gbps 4...
PCIe Adapter3 5 0x1000 0x0079 LSI 9261-8i MegaRAID S...
I need the serial number of Qlogic QLE256x 8 Gbps
ucs-c210-m2 /chassis # scope adapter 1
Error: Managed object does not exist, use show command to list valid targets
How I can show the serial?
Thanks

I don't believe the CIMC has access to the adapter (non-Cisco) serial #. If you want to identify it I believe you'll need to load the SANSurfer CLI into the guest OS to extract this info from the adapter.
If I find another method I'll update the thread.

Another option is to break into the FLASUtil Option ROM BIOS (Ctrl+Q) during the boot sequence. The utility will give you this informaiton also, without the need to load any OS agent software.
