Hi,
I have a question about the best practice to design this environment
Today i have a Netapp using FCoE connected to two Nexus 5500 and some UCS Rack server. Now i have to configure a UCS Mini and i don't know the the recommended configuration, because i'm new to FCoE.
Do I have to configure all 4 FI ports of each FI as "FCoE uplink ports" and connect to the Nexus and configure as FCoE?
Or I can configure all FI ports as "Uplink Ports", connect all to Nexus and configure as FC and Ethernet
Thanks

Hi ,
Yes , you need to configure them as uplink ports and connect them to Nexus.
As the ports on FI's are unified , you can configure them as Ethernet or FC as per the requirement.

So I don't need to configure the ports as "FCoE uplink ports", just as End Host and set two for Network and two for FC in each FI?
I can't create link aggregation with the four ports and use for network access and FC access? I think i can do this configuring the 4 ports as "FCoE uplink" or this is not a best practice?
Thanks for the help

yes, you can configure them as FCOE uplink and we should be good with this.
