FlexPod deployment (UCS Mini 5108 w/2Blades, 2 FI embedeed 6324, 1 N5K 5548, 1 NetApp FAS 2040)

Hi people,

FlexPod is know for boot your virtual machines from SAN, There is some deployment guide for FlexPod and UCS Mini?

I have problems with the configuration of UCS Manager to provide connectivity to SAN storage. The Scenario diagram is attached.

The deployment have 4 parts of configuration:

- Service Profiles on UCS mini

- Fabric Interconnect to N5K

- N5K to NetApp

- N5K to LAN

I don´t configure any port channel because I have only one N5K and 2 Fabric Interconnect with the UCS mini chassis.

N5K configuration is attached.

NetApp is already configured and I created only one initiator for FC connections.

I`ll appreciate support.

I would use classical FC (instead of FCoE) from UCS FI to the Nexus 5k, as your Netapp uses classical FC as well. This will make your N5k configuration much simpler, although the zoning stays exactly the same.

(the 4 SFP+ ports are universal ports, therefore supporting Ethernet and classical FC)
