Hi,
we are using "UCS 1300GB Fusion ioMemory3 PX" cards in our C240-M4S servers and are always running very old versions of Oracle Linux because the UCS driver bundle is only supporting old OS / kernel versions.
In times of staying up to date regarding security vulnerabilities, this is a real issue. The latest driver bundle is now supporting RHEL / OL 6.8 which is super old (2016). I saw that SanDisk is providing a much newer driver on their website for the ioMemory PX series and already supports 6.9 with a UEK4 kernel.
Question is, if you can use the driver from SanDisk or if this might cause problems on the Cisco branded card version. Anybody experience / advice on that?
Thanks,
Matt
