for each blade, we have 2 vnics assigned to the server. one vnic to fexA and one vnic to fexB.
then i create only 1 vswitch and assign both vnics to this vswitch.
then all port groups are under this one vswitch.
question is it better to create more vnics and more vswitches vs just 1 vswitch?

The best practice is to separate or classify the vswitches, like management servers related vswitch, app servers related vswitch, webservers related vswitch. This gives you idea which servers are connected to given vswitch and it also helps you migrate, if any to distributed switch.
thank you,

my blades are b200 m2 with the 1280 vic. when I installed esxi, I see each vnic is 40GB. 40GB is the max bandwidth of the physical vic itself right?
So whether I use 1 vnic or 10vnics, its the same right since it all passes through the vic?
