hi

how do I change the queue depth for an esxi host in 5.1 for ucs b200?

In esxi

I type esxcli system module parameters -m list

it shows

~ # esxcli system module parameters  list -m  fnic
Name                     Type  Value  Description
-----------------------  ----  -----  -------------------------------------------------------------------------
fnic_fc_trace_max_pages  uint         Total allocated memory pages for fc trace buffer
fnic_max_qdepth          uint         Queue depth to report for each LUN
fnic_trace_max_pages     uint         Total allocated memory pages for fnic trace buffer
heap_initial             int          Initial heap size allocated for the driver.
heap_max                 int          Maximum attainable heap size for the driver.
skb_mpool_initial        int          Driver's minimum private socket buffer memory pool size.
skb_mpool_max            int          Maximum attainable private socket buffer memory pool size for the driver.

how do I change it and what is the recommended queue depth?

hi

does it require a reboot for this?

is it recommeded to change the queue depth to 128 or higher? what is the best practice? default is 32 for esxi 5.1
