How to factory reset the LSI Raid Controller on M3 C220?

I am having issues getting ubuntu 16.0.4TLS-server-i386 to recognize my local drives. I have also had this same issue when trying to install the cisco UCS version of ESXi onto this server as well.... both os installs show that no local drives are detected to install the os onto. What I find weird is that when I first had this server, I was able to see these local drives with no problem, and now none of these local drives show up...

I am beginning to think that back when I configured the Raid Controller, and I might've misconfigured the controller using the LSI Raid Controller Utility Tool in the bios. This might be why these drives can not be recognized anymore by cisco compatible OSs I have installed since making changes to the Raid Controller.

So my question is, is there a way to reset the Raid Controller from the CICM CLI or Bios so I can undo my past raid changes that might have caused this issue, or is there another way to resolve this issue?

A solution that does not involve going into CICM is preferred as I can not log into the GUI as I am having issues updating the HUU.

I am very green the cisco ucs platform so please excuse the lack of knowledge or inconsistencies in my question. Thanks.

Which exact LSI raid controller are you referring to?

If you have the onboard/embedded one, then that matches your symptoms, as the mega_SR/onboard software raid is not supported by any versions of ESXi.  Any disk config outside of jbod/ahci mode, would cause ESXi to not see those drives, if connected to embedded controller.
