Inserting a UCSB200 M4 into my 5108 chassis gives error "Invalid adapter-iocard combination"

Hi All,

I have checked the mezzanine card and it is not installed.

The MLOM card is a "UCSB-MLOM-40G-03"

The blade just fails to inventory. I've tried decommissioning, resetting the CIMC but im thinking this is a hardware issue.

Can anyone advise?

Can you confirm the IOM in your chassis?

Do you have other blades with the same hardware/software combination that are working without issue?

This error typically indicates unsupported hardware, whether its the blade or the IOM.

Hi Wesley,

IOM = 2104XP 2.2(8g)

No I have inserted two M4's and they both give this error, all other blades are B200 M3's.

The 2104 is not supported with VIC1340. 

The MLOM card is a "UCSB-MLOM-40G-03"

Simple as replace the MLOM with a 1240?

Yeah, just make sure you decom the blade, replace the MLOM and then re-ack.
