I am PXE boot installing ubuntu 16.04 on the C-220 with 12G SAS raid card. 4 6T HDD in raid5. If I put in 512 sector HDD, the install will succeed. If I use WD DC HC310 HDD (4K sector), the installation looks good, all the partitions are in place and EFI boot partition is populated with the same boot files as the 512 sector disk installation. The efibootmgr command shows ubuntu as the first boot entry. However, after reboot, the ubuntu boot entry disappears from the boot list. The bios is set to UEFI boot with secure boot off. Firmwares are upgraded to 4.1(1c)
What could be the reason the UEFI boot entry being removed from the list during the reboot?
