Multi-hop FcoE

Hi,

can i connect a 6100 Fabric interconnect directly to the NExus 55k over an FCoE link? Does multi-hop FCoE spans 55k and 6100?

we have this scenario: 6100-->N55k-->Storage or (6100-->N55k-->N55k-->Storage)

Can the UCS blade servers communicate with the storage in these scenario?

At current release the UCS 6100 is not supporting VE FCoE ports,yet on the Nexus N5K (50XX or 55XX) the VE ports is supported. You would still require to use Native Fibre Channel to connect to the N5K's or attach Storage (FCoE native or direct FC)directly on the UCS.
