Need Way to Update Firmware for D7-P5500 That's Not Installed in a UCS

Just as the title says, we have a number of D7-P5500 NVMe drives that were acquired outside our regular lifecycle, and were not pre-installed in a UCS server.  The drives are currently installed in non-Cisco servers, and we're looking for a way to upgrade the firmware to 2CV1C033 so that they meet VMware's Compatibility Matrix.

The normal HUU image obviously won't work.  We have managed to extract the firmware binary from an HUU image (ucs-c220m6-huu-4.2.3j.iso), but we need some sort of CLI tool that's hardware-agnostic enough to allow the firmware update to proceed in a non-UCS host.  We tried using Solidigm's firmware updater, but the firmware .bin from the HUU .iso isn't compatible with it.

If anyone knows of a more generic Cisco or Intel firmware updater for these drives, that'd be really useful.  Solidigm had nothing to offer since the drives were acquired as Cisco OEM.  I know this is outside the norm, but we're just looking for any resources that might be available.  Thanks
