Network flapping on B230

All,

We are encountering an odd issue specific to two servers: When a high volume of tcp connections are present the VICs on the B230s will flap. The B230s have a raw install of Win2K12.

On the UCS Manager side, there are no events presenting for the VICs, but we can actively see the following:

1) Adapter "usage" will spike to 100% in the resource manager

2) The adapter will then cycle, and reconnect to the network

3) during the reconnect period, the machine is unavailable on the network (obviously, it has dropped and not yet reconnected)

4) CPU usage is normal

5) Disk usage is high, but not unreasonable

6) network usage fluxes between 1mbps and 10mbps, but nothing that would make it obvious for the adapter to spike to 100% usage

I'm not sure what other information to provide, but if I can do so and it will help, I will be glad to.

Thanks,

Stephen

Which version of adapter driver is installed?

Are you using a adapter policy? was changed?

Is there any qos applied?
