No networking go out from FI to N5K

Hi Guys,

We are trying to setup a new Data-Center environment .

You can take a look on our design in the draw attached .

The issue is that we assigned IP address for CIMC for the blades, but we can't ping it, which means that the N5K don't see the packets go out from the FI [we also checked it by command, that the N5K don't see any MAC from the FI ports/Port-channel]

On the Fi side, we configured the ports as unified uplinks and created Port-Channel

On the N5K side, we created also port-channel, and bind it to a vfc .

everything seems right .

What can in check ?

What do you think ? is it some misconfiguration in the N5K side or in the FI ?

Thanks a lot in advance ,

Baduach Ron

HI ,

are using out-of -band or in band?

if out of band, the traffic will go through FI  management network, not data uplinks to N5K.

More info on the Inband vs OOB here:

You are likely using Out of Band and need to configure the upstream management network accordingly.
