Product Name: UCS C220 M3S
Serial Number: FCH1623V7M4
PID: UCSC-C220-M3S
UUID: C1BBF8C3-8B98-4F41-8411-53A80901DA8F
BIOS Version: C220M3.2.0.9a.0 (Build Date: 11/30/2015)

Expantion Cards:
Intel Ethernet Server Adapter I350-T4 - Firmware 0x80000AA6-1.808.2
LSI i MegaRAID SAS HBA - Firmware 23.33.0-0040

Fans are at 13482RPM and they don't change.

CIMC version 2.0 (9I)

Fan Policy set to "HIGH POWER".

Also have tried "BALANCED" Fan Policy.

Server next to it in the rack has fan speeds running at 3500rpm which seems normal.

It is a cool environment.

Suggestions?

If the server things anything has failed it will often run the fans at maximum RPM.  A common case I have seen is a server with dual power supplies but only one power supply is plugged in.

Both power supplies are plugged in and the CIMC shows good status for both power supplies.

I did just notice that the "Last Cisco IMC Firmware Install" has a status of "Image CRC Error".

I'm going to investigate that... still open to other suggestions or comments in the meantime.

Thank you.

HI John,

since CIMC upgrade Failed and showing CRC error, it's better to run HUU on server components  including CIMC/BIOS

Can I suggest you might want to move this thread to the Unified Computing forum.  I doubt there are too many UCS experts monitoring this forum as it is for a set of network management applications for SMB products, and those applications don't do anything special with the UCS products.

Cheers,

Dave.
