Solved: NPIV with VIC 1240 and ESX

I have a UCS B200 blade/chassis with Cisco Virtual Interface Card 1240. I cannot for the life of me get NPIV to work. I can't find any configuration documents for this setup and the only post on here I found is from 2 years ago and says that Cisco mezzanine cards do not support NPIV. Can this still be the case today?

Last time I was checking (late 2014) there was no plan for NPIV on ESX hosts.

We've got it running and documented for Hyper-V.

Best to reach out to your local SE ... there seems to be some demand for this feature.

Thanks for the reply. I finally did enough digging to find a footnote sitting at the bottom of the release notes saying it's not supported. The feature is actually a pain to configure so if it weren't for a specific use case we have I wouldn't even bother.
