Compatibility? What is the best NVMe storage for the C240 M3?
Has anyone tested the Samsung 983 ZET Series SSD 960GB adapter or
a PCIe adapter with 4 M.2 NVMe slots with the Samsung 983 DCT Series SSD or the Kingston DC1000B M.2 NVMe SSD?
Would like to teach this old dog new tricks! They use PCIe x8 slots so should work but worried if it needs drivers or BIOS upgrades?

So the M3s were never tested with NVME, as those really came out prior to the NVMEs being mainstream.
BIOS limitations will probably keep you from Booting to NVME, but suspect you can use it for post-boot storage options once the drivers are installed.

Hi Kirk,
Thank you for your response. Do you know if bifurcation is an option on the BIOS if you wanted to have 4-NVMe's on one adapter, or if we should use an adapter that does it's on bifurcation. So this would be in an x16 slot, w/x4/x4/x4/x4 for each NVMe.
Thanks again!

Those servers were never tested with any of the style of boards.
I have not seen anyone post as to the success rate with using that type of board.
If such a BIOS option exists in those, it's not one that is exposed in the BIOS F2 UI, or in bios policies.
