QoS-UCSM 1.4(xx)

Hi:

Is the  default System QoS configuration still the same for UCSM 1.4(xx), from what I understand till now, only best effort and FC are enabled (each with 50%) with FC as lossless?

Please help as I need to deploy QoS in ESX setup on UCS Blades with PALO and no Nexus 1000V but with Nexus 7000. I am totally clueless as to the following:

Q1. Need any matching QoS policies to be configured on N7K and other Layer 3? FI 6140's 2 ports connects to 2 N7000 with vPC and UCS's Port Channel?

I saw 6 Priorities when I click on the Priority drop down box, but I may just need 5 of them. What to do with the extra one?

So Burst(Bytes) is the bandwidth I want, I presume, am I right? Like for vMotion, I may want to craft out 1G out of the fat 10G PALO?

What is Host Control? None and Full-Do I mess with it?

He makes some very good points and its has some good examples. As for your uplink, yes all policies used on UCS should be reflected in both the Nexus 5Ks or 7Ks.
