rackmount server integrated to ucsm managed by ucs central not bootin

We have an issue in 1 of our backup server which is rack mount server UCS C240 M4SX integrated to UCSM managed through UCS Central, is not booting up.

The KVM IP is also not pinging hence we are unable to launch KVM. Physically the server is up but from UCS Central the server status shows "service profile configuration failed due to compute-unavailable insufficient-resources"

As part of troubleshooting the server was decommissioned from UCS manager, however when we are trying to reacknowledge no change.

The service profile from UCS Central says "Assigned server not found"

We tried to assign the service profile from UCS central but unable to see the server in that domain. Any Help inputs regarding this issue w

Is the server still showing under [Decommissioned]?
If so, that needs to be resolved first.
Would try:

  1. Power drain server (remove power plugs for 30 full earth seconds).
  2. Reset CIMC to factory settings (physical console and [F8] and find reset to factory).

If the server is NOT under [Decommissioned], then I assume is shows in UCSM Equipment as Server #?
Is all of the hardware discovered properly?

Typically "insufficient-resources" is some configuration issue (IP pool not having enough IPs.) or hardware inventory discovery issue (adding two 3-disk RAID 5's but only 5 disks are discovered.).

Thanks for your inputs. The issue is resolved now.

We power drained the server, however reset CIMC was not done as since this is integrated to UCSM we thought CIMC has no role here.

The server was under decommissioned tab under rack-mount, and was showing as option to recommission and save/delete. However right click and recommissioning didnt help, but not sure after a long time after multiple reboots the server got detected automatically in UCSM and finally in UCS central.

Observation : The FI ports connected to Server was in trunk mode, the working servers was showing as vntag  mode. After the server was reack again the mode changed to vntag and server came up.

Also can anyone suggest when the server shows in decommissioned tab, there is an option to delete the server, should we attempt to delete or what is the outcome if we select 'delete'

From my experience, if you delete it from the decommissioned tab, it disappears completely and does not rediscover until you perform step 1 above (power drain for 30 seconds)
