Reason for PCIe riser damage and SSD burn

Hi,

Can anyone give me the reasons why the PCIe card and the SSD connected to it can be damaged of a Cisco UCS c240 M4 server?

Any server with failures like this (burn) should be sent (typically preferably as a whole unit) to UCS Engineering for an Engineering Failure Analysis (EFA).

Cisco TAC can provide a replacement and send the failed one for EFA.

Any response on a message board / communities would be undue speculation without EFA.
