I have Windows Server 2008 running on a UCS C22 M3 system, and I cannot get the serial port to work on it. I have the only external DB9 serial port connected to the console of another system. Windows sees the serial port as COM1. I've tried changing it to other COM numbers, but it doesn't make a difference.
I am able to see the remote console when it is connected different system with the same PuTTY configuration, so I know it's not a software issue.
Please help!
Thanks,
Chris

Make that two C22 systems where the serial port doesn't appear to be working.

Did you ever figure out what happened with the COM Ports?

I worked with the TAC for a couple of days and they could never find out what ever happened?
They just RMA'ed me a new one, had to put everything back together (drives, memory, ect) then the Serial worked great,
Hope this helps, basically they never found a solution for this,
Ryan
