Hi,
We have applied a simple SoL policy to our service profiles however when I SSH to the KVM address it connects but I see nothing back like I do when connecting via the KVM in UCS Manager.
Am I missing a setting somewhere?
Many Thanks, Paul

Which OS are you running ? eg. for RH
- To enable, create a SoL policy in UCSM
Just one setting: baud rate – select 38400 (standard)
- Apply policy through Service Profile
- You can then ssh to the BMC directly
Authenticate using UCSM credentials this time (unlike IPMI)
- Console output now redirected over SSH
IPMI v2.0 would normally do this over UDP/623 – UCS is more secure and automatically remaps the output to ssh
- What will you see on the SoL session?
Server startup sequence (BIOS, etc.)
If Linux OS installed, you can redirect ttyS0 to SoL (/etc/inittab) and log in through that console
