SSD/HDD health on C220M7

Hello,

Does CIMC on C220M7 (standalone) support SSD/HDD health ( with MRAID12G controller and alert if they are not healthy?

UCSM has Smart SSD and I don't think UCSM support HDD health.

Thanks

The UCS Rack 4.3 latest Configuration Guide includes:

Beginning from release 4.2(2a), you can perform drive diagnostic self-test on SATA drives.

From release 4.1(3b) onwards, you can perform drive diagnostic self-test on SSD drives.

This is a weekly Drive Self Test (DST). If a drive is in bad shape this will uncover that the drive is failing.
(Being weekly means the drive could fail after the last good DST, and before the next bad DST. So it won't catch every failing drive.)

The DST isn't perfect and has some gotchas, but does a decent job of uncovering drive failures.

There are SSD wear level indicators pulled from SMART data:

If the controller also thinks the disks are bad it will mark them as degraded or failed (with some exceptions like pass-thru controllers or disks set to JBOD)
