Storage for UCS - Blades

This may be a weird question but I have a physical server that I'd like to update and I know I can just purchase a newer physical server with no problem, but I have 3 empty slots in my UCS. Is it possible to purchase a blade and install 30TB worth of space into it and dedicate that one blade to the data from my physical server? I'm thinking to just use the local storage on the blade.

Your b200 M3, M4, M5 single slot blades have a max of 2 drives slots.

It think those have max per drive sizes of around 1.8 TB on M3, but M5s list some SSDs of around 15TB per drive.

With raid 1, you'd obviously net 15TB max.

What specific blades do you have?

Kirk..

Thanks for your response.
Currently, I have B200 M4 blades. I was doing some research and yes, those blades top out around 1-3 TB.
Seems like the best bet would be to either upgrade to M5s or just invest in a more up to date physical server to get the drive space I need.
