Hi,
One of our customer have 2 5108 Chassis with 4 blade servers. Each chassis have 2 blade servers. Customer required redundancy in such a way that blade servers should work fine in case swapped from one chassis to other. No manual work required after swap blade server from chassis.
All LAN/MAC/UUID/WWNN/WWPN/Server pools are created & working.
Please guide how to do this?
Thanks,
Ravi.

Hi Ravi
If you boot from SAN, this can be done without problems.
If OS is installed on local disk, local disk scrub policy has to be set to NO !

Greetings.
Wanted to confirm you are talking about a single UCSM domain with 2 chassis connected to same pair of FIs?
Assuming that you are, removal of a blade should be preceded by decommissioning of the blade prior to physically being swapped. You will get additional prompts requesting your acknowledgement that the blades are in a different slot. This was probably designed to help customer's avoid accidentally re-slotting blades into different slot when unintentional.
Thanks,
Kirk..
