I have a requirement for B200 M5 server.
Total CPU count:
CPU Distribution of 6 servers(CPU Socket * Cores * Threads):
(4*10*2*6)=480 CPUs
CPU Distribution of 8 servers(CPU Socket * Cores * Threads):
(4*8*2*8)=512 CPUs
Total Memory-5376 GB
Shall I assume a CPU with 40 core per server?
What would be the memory recommendation and count?

shows your 20+ core per CPU options.
https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c-series-rack-servers/memory-guide-c220-c240-b200-m5.pdf list "When populating DIMM slots for optimal performance, multiples of 12 DIMMs are best
because there are 6 memory channels per CPU socket and 2 CPUs must be populated."
Probably 12x64GB (or 24x 32GB) DIMM modules per server would provide more than the required Total Memory-5376 GB, but going with other configs to hit lower memory total population would take a performance hit if you don't stick with the multiple of 12 dimms.

Agreed. What would be the difference of choosing UCS-CPU I6248R over UCS CPU -I6248 except for the number of cores?
