Hello,
i recently got my hands on a Tesla P40 GPU that I would like to use in my C460 M4.
The power connector has caused me a lot of confusion.
as I understand it, the Tesla P40 makes use of a 12V EPS connector.
the connector on the PCIe riser board also seems to be keyed as a 12V EPS connector, a 8 pin EPS cable would fit.
however, upon measuring with a multimeter, I noticed that the riser provides 3x 12V and 5x gnd, instead of 4x 12v and 4x gnd!
is there a specific reason why the connector is keyed like EPS, but does not seem to follow the standard? (In fact, it seems like using a normal 8pin CPU to 8pin CPU cable would cause 12v to be shorted to gnd)
I sadly had no luck with finding the original cable (only the Y splitter cables, which the C460 manual told me not to use), would be able to make my own cable but am confused about the pinout. Do I just leave the extra gnd pin floating?
any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
