As part of enabling jumbo frames end to end ESX-to-storage via iSCSI - one of the steps is enabling jumbo frame for storage in system QoS. I tried this out in the emulator and it gives a warning that packet flow through the UCS will briefly be halted while the change is applied. Would this particular step likely result in problems for VMs reaching their iSCSI targets? What type of steps
at VMWare would be prudent if any to assure no disk corruption. Or is this procedure so quick and innocuous that the VMs would likely be unaffected when applying?

This should not cause any issues with VMs reaching their target. I have not seen this change cause outstanding negative impacts on the network or storage environment, however, we still recommend conducting this change during a scheduled maintenance window.
