Hi,
do you know if ther is a Fabric Interconnect for UCS with RJ ports instead SFP+ ?
I know it's a rather odd question, but I have a client who wants to connect an UCS to a Nexus 2200 Extender that has only RJ45 ports
Best regards,
Claudio

Hi Claudio
I assume you talk about 10G copper, not 1G copper;
and if 10G: CX-4 (Twinax) cables, or 10G Base-T ?
There is a 12-port 10GBASE-T module, but this is only supported on the Nexus 5596T so of no use on Nexus 5596UP switch, nor UCS FI.
Anyway, it is a not recommended to connect UCS FI Uplinks to a Nexus 22xx ? just think about the oversubscription ! you would like to have as much bandwidth Northbound as possible.

You are right: I talk about 10 G copper
My client has two Nexus 2232 with RJ45 ports (10G-base-T), connected to a couple of Nexus-5548.
But the 5548's are fully used, where the 2232's have a lot of RJ45 ports free
