UCSc240M5 server as media agent

I am working for setting up a commvault media agent on Cisco UCS c240 M5 for which i need some clarifications as follows:

1. Is it necessary for UCS c240 M5 to be configured as UCS Managed for setting up as Commvault media agent?

2. If configured as a standalone server is the Cisco UCS VIC 1457 Quad Port 10/25G SFP28
mLOM supported?

3. In general , what is the IP requirement for each node managed through CIMC?

If the servers you are backing up are already UCSM managed servers, then it is probably easier to have your C240M5 media agent server UCSM managed as well as your vlans and uplinks will already be defined.

Yes, the MLOM/VIC 1457 is supported as a UCSM integrated CNA or standalone care (it's on spec sheet at https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c-series-rack-servers/c240m5-sff-specsheet.pdf)

In regards to your IP question, I'm assuming you are talking more about your comvault configuration, to which you will need to check your commvault install guide.

Thanks,

Kirk...
