Hello,

Logged into the UCS manager through CLI.

Trying to run command to register UCS domain with UCS central.

SSH into UCS manager CLI, I run scope system which brings me to cluster name\system#

When I try use command create control-ep policy ip_address.  I get an error invalie marker

If I do a create ? I don't get an option to create a control ep policy.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Hi,

Which version of UCSM are you running?  It looks like you may be running a version before 2.1 which doesn't have the ability to integrate with UCS Central.

View solution in original post

It's mentioned in the UCSM release notes.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/release/notes/UCS_28313.html

New Software Features in Release 2.1

Release 2.1(1a) adds support for the following:

Support for UCS Central

I'll get a pre-req added to the UCS Central Guide explaining only UCSM 2.1 and higher domains can be registered.

Regards,

Robert

oh ok, i was unaware of that.  Even in the UCS Central deployment guide it dosen't mention that...

That would explain it...thank you very much for that information.
