Upgrade CIMC

Hi,

 

Is it ok to upgrade the cimc of cisco from 3.0(3a) to 4.1(2a) or i just need to upgrade it to 3.0(4a)?

Those iso files are direct downloads from cisco.com. You do not want any application to make it a iso files. See below post.

You can go "straight" upgrade from 3.X to 4.X.  

NOTE:  

If you read the Release Notes, the procedure to upgrade the CIMC firmware is incomplete and confusing.  @Rasika Nayanajith has knocked up a detailed step-by-step process (LINK) that I find very useful.  

WARNING

CIMC upgrade can take, on average, 70 minutes.  During this time, the server is off.

Im having an error when it say's he is copying some files error code 906....i used rufus application to make a bootable ISO...the firmware i install is 4.0(2a)...any work around for the problem?
