Hello,
We want to the maximize FC bandwith on B200M5 with VIC 1340.
Chassis is linked to FI with 2x40GB links per IOM
FC uplinks are 4x16 GB per FI to brocade SAN (32GB, sfp 16 GB)
SAN Array is Pure FA m50r2 with 8x16GB uplinks.
OS is ESXi 6.7U2, UCS FW is 4.0(2d)
We have followed pure recommendations to upgrade queue depth:
https://support.purestorage.com/Solutions/VMware_Platform_Guide/003Virtual_Volumes_-_VVols/How_To%3A_Adjusting_the_UCS_nfnic_queue_depth_on_ESXi_6.7
The maximum BW we obtain is arround 3200 MB/s, which is logical with a non CISCO san switch (no balancing, but server pinned uplink)
So we decided to buy an extender card for VIC1340 and it made it a 1380.
Configuration looks good because LAN nic are now marked 40000 (yeah!)
We added 2 HBA and separate pinning with different VSAN.
But with same FC benchmark ( CDM 4.0) we are still limited to 3200 MB/s, we were expecting 6400 MB/s.
We have checked that 4 FC uplinks are used during tests (2 per FI).
Any idea ?
