Hello,
We're trying to deploy VN-Link in HW (PTS) to our UCS with vSphere 4.1 ESXi...we followed all the steps to do it, already have the dynamic vnics in the service profile, vCenter already sees the Port Profiles created in UCSM...but at the time of adding the host (ESXi) to the UCSM distributed virtual switch, when prompted about what physical vmnics to add we only see the STATIC vNICs and not the DYNAMIC vNICs...
Any help on this?
Thanks a lot,

Dani, the dynamic vNICs are for VMs. When you an ESX host to any distributed virtual switch you choose the vmnics on that host that will be part of the dvSwitch.
For your configuration I would create these UCS vNICs in your ESX Service Profile Templates:
When you add the host to the dvSwitch use vmnics 2 and 3.
In addition to those vNIC create and link a dynamic vNIC connection policy. As you add VMs to a host that is part of the UCS dvSwitch they will be assigned one of those dynamic vNICs.
For the UCS VN-Link in hardware you also have to load the Nexus 1000v VEM on each host. I you have Update Manager it will install the VEM on each for you as you add them to the dvSwitch.
