Regarding the creation of the VNIC template, by default in the target option the adpter option is selected and optionally we can select the VM option in which automatically creates the port profile, in one of my tests I created a vnic templete with the selected VM target only option and when creating a server profile and when configuring the NIC part using template I do not see the VNIC that I created only with the VM option, my doubt would be in which scenario would I use the template of vnic somenete with the VM option flegada since the adpter option is optional and not mandatory.
