Disable memory dimms on C240

Hello,

I am looking for a way to disable some memory modules in a C240 M5 server.

Is there a "software" way (e.g. via certain policies) besides physical removing them?

The server is managed via UCS Manager.

Regards

 Martin

Certain threshhold counters will trigger DIMMs to become blacklisted (i.e. UECC/multibit errors), but there is no mechanism to manually mark a dimm as 'don't use'.

If you are having issues with specific DIMMs with ECC/UECC alerts, you will want to open a TAC case.

Thanks for the reply Kirk. Therefore we will remove the DIMMs physically to reduce the amount of memory.

We do have indeed several issues with single- and multibit errors but that is a different topic.
